Okay, let’s get straight to the point: Arashi fangirling has been almost totally pushed to the sidelines. I’m inclined towards getting back in touch with my girlhood idol fandom, Michael Jackson. These days I’m listening to his songs more than I do to Arashi’s (and getting nostalgic along the way as I reminisce my girlhood memories of idolising MJ and all those wonderful days of singing and dancing to his songs… few people truly understand how deep MJ goes in my heart). In fact, right at this moment I’m listening to MJ’s songs playing on the stereo upstairs — courtesy of my mom, who’s playing The Very Best of Michael Jackson album — and finding it hard to concentrate on writing this post! xD
Well, that’s just a random just-to-let-you-know :D
Seriously, it’s no biggie. I’m just saying the STORM in my heart is giving way for some MJ love at the moment. Give me 2 weeks and I’ll be fangirling Arashi the proper way once again xD
So, anyways! Let’s get to the point of my post. As always – whenever I’m MIA for some time, I’d compile all my updates/spazzing here into The List:
1) *leaves this space for infinite ranting about school and homework sucking her soul and how she’s getting only 3-5 hours of sleep each night*
2) A few of my teachers have been introduced to Arashi by yours truly ;D I showed them the pictures of Arashi I carry around in my clear folder… and after a few scrutinising stares and some comments here and there, they now think of me as a high-pitched squealing fangirl obsessed with Japanese boys which isn’t that far from the truth… xD
3) Let’s all support a petition for an official International Arashi Fanclub! It’s a petition founded by a Japanese fan (I really admire him/her for coming out and giving support for the mass of Arashi fans outside Japan <3) aimed at achieving 1000 signatures… AND IT HAS BEEN ACHIEVED! I think I am the 1,001st signature… KYAAAH~ Nevertheless, keep pouring in your support and bring more signatures! Hopefully the response will ACTUALLY prompt Johnny to create an international fanclub. It’s about time, ain’t it?! (thank youuuuuuu Kitty for notifying me – though I’m like 5 days late in reading your email, gomen xD)
4) ARASHI’S EVERYTHING SINGLE IS RELEASED TODAY! I admit I totally forgot until I saw a link to the PV posted onto my FB wall today (Thanks, Tsuki-chan! What would I do without your personal updates <3) *fails* OTZ. Can you believe the single is out of stock on almost every major online shopping sites?! I don’t remember having to fight for pre-orders back in my early fangirling days. Times have changed (which is of course good for Johnny’s bank account)! So to celebrate the event, I watched the PV. I have one word to describe it (as well as the song): loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove. More reviews/spazzing/flailing in my next post :D
5) I just remembered this: my classmate owes me a drawing of chibi Arashi~! I saw her sketching chibi SuJu boys in her notebook today and I totally flailed and pleaded for an Arashi copy xD All I need to do is provide an Arashi photo. Anyone with recent Arashi photos to provide? Y’know, those with Aiba’s most recent fluffy haircut and Jun’s Smile ‘do *grins*
6) I’ve been bemoaned to about how Arashi’s All the Best! 1999-2009 compilation album had sold out within 24 hours of its pre-order release! ON EVERY ONLINE SHOPPING STORES SELLING IT! UH-MAY-ZEEENG. O_O Seriously, aside from the depressing fact that some people did not make it in time to pre-order a copy (Fatima and me included *sobz*), this proves that Arashi’s fandom has grown tremendously throughout the years. Such love T_T <3
7) GUESS WHAT?! MY SISTER IS BUYING THE COMPILATION ALBUM FOR ME!!!! KL;LMDFHN893HOJMS;LGNDSH FLAILFLAILFLAILFLAILFLAIIIIIIIIIIIIIL~ <3 <3 <3 It’s been aaaaaaaaaaages since I bought any ACTUAL Arashi CD — or any official goodies, for that matter — since the Truth/Kaze no Mukou E single I bought on YesAsia (and that’s like, almost a year ago O_O). I was moaning to my sister a few days ago about how I miss the anticipation of waiting for the arrival of my YesAsia packages (which were an absolute joyous part of my fangirling days), and how much I want to get Arashi’s compilation album because it’s their glorious 10th year and I want to celebrate it but I don’t have the money for it (seriously, I was ranting THAT much without realising it lol), and my sister suddenly went: “…how about an early birthday present from me?” dfklhndfoi8936′,smdhlkdshn <3 I love her and her awesomeness. I don’t effing care if I have to wait for months until the next stock arrives, as long as I can get my hands on a copy, I’ll be the HAPPIEST FANGIRL IN THE WORLD~ <3 <3 <3 *dances on rainbows*
8) Next weekend’s DaiCon – anyone going? Just so you know… THERE WILL BE AN ARASHI BOOTH. YES, AN ARASHI BOOTH AT AN ANIME CONVENTION. xDDDDDD I’m totally going just for that purpose, and I’m not even that much of an anime fan, that, aaaaaand my friend is manning the booth and I wanna help out. Just for the heck of it xD LET US ALL FLAIL AND BRING SOME J-POP LOVE TO THOSE ANIME OTAKUS!
9) The week AFTER DaiCon – Bon Odori festival! Yes, I am going. No, I don’t have a yukata to wear (sadly T_T). Yes, I want TO FLAIL WITH OTHER ARASHI FANGIRLS THERE~ xD
10) The whole point of no.8 and no.9 is to urge you guys to GO SUPPORT ARASHI AT THESE EVENTS. Even though Bon Odori doesn’t actually have anything to do with Arashi… xD
Well, that’s all I’ve got so far, can’t think of any more at the moment. Gawd, I can’t believe I spent 2 hours writing this post. My review for Everything will have to come tomorrow; I don’t think I can spare more of my precious time to do homework T_T
