YES IT’S LIKE SUCH A TURN-ON I COULD HAVE DIED ON THAT SPOT.
I’M NOW GOING AROUND TELLING PEOPLE CHRIS DAUGHTRY SPRAYED WATER FROM HIS BOTTLE AT ME (and the crowd of people around me but STILLLLLLLL) AND THAT I TRIED MY LEVEL BEST NOT TO SHOWER SO FAST WHEN I GET HOME BUT IT’S IMPOSSIBLE BECAUSE I WAS SO STICKY WITH SWEAT (not from the kinky aforementioned incident… *cough*)
Now I know how it feels like to totally fangirl a rockstar XDDDDDDD
1) Didn’t have to queue up to enter the concert because of the VIP tickets W0000T. It was soooo much fun to just breeze past the 100m-long queue and go straight to the almost-empty VIP entrance <3
2) WE HAD A VIP TAG. AND A VIP BOOTH/TENT THAT HAD SOFAS AND HIGH TABLES AND WAITERS SERVING US HORS D’VEOURS, CUTE TINY GOURMET SANDWICHES, STARBUCKS COFFEE AND BEER. FREE FLOW. FREEEEEEEE.
3) Oh and did I mention we were protected under the tent? And it was drizzling then?
4) The VIPs had access to the FRONTMOST spot to the stage, where there was a space between the fences and the barred-off section where the normal-ticket concertgoers were. So, yes, WE WERE LIKE 10 FEET FROM DAUGHTRY LKNSDGKL48GHOGHSH.
5) We had FOUR opening acts. Which lasted 3 and a half hours T_T I mean, don’t get me wrong, the music was kinda cool and my friends and I were even dancing to it, but we waited 3 QUARTERS OF THE 5-HOUR CONCERT FOR DAUGHTRY. IN THE RAIN. Towards the last opening act (our own Malaysian Idol who’s kinda cutesy XD) some of the guys started booing lmaoooo.
6) There was a lucky draw, and my friend won A SONY ERICSSON PHONE. WALKMAN + CAMERA. LSGNJK4NG89YHUINGSDKLH. Yeah, I was kinda hoping I would get a new phone (because I wanted one and would save me RM700 T_T), but my friend totally deserves it. SHE’S THE NICEST PERSON IN THE WORLD <3
7) When Daughtry’s crewmembers came out to set up the equipment everyone started cheering for them LOL
8) Daughtry finally came out and ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. EVERYONE STARTED SCREAMING AND JUMPING, AND I WAS GOING COMPLETELY MAAAAAAD FLAILING MY ARMS. I MEAN. CHRIS DAUGHTRY WAS 10 FEET AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
9) TOTALLY AWESOME PERFORMANCES. Daughtry really jammed it up and ROCKED IT. The atmosphere was really hawt and crazy, with everyone singing along and just being a really responsive crowd! I don’t know how to explain it… I was mostly between screaming and singing and waving my arms and just getting starstruck XD if you’ve gone to a rock concert YOU’LL KNOW WHAT I MEAN~ XD
10) The guitarists and throwing their strumming pieces to the crowd and THE GIRLS WERE ACTUALLY FIGHTING OVER IT. I totally get it if it’s Arashi’s shirt thrown into a crowd of rabid fangirl, though XDDDDDDDDD
11) MY FRIEND HAD EYE CONTACT WITH CHRIS DAUGHTRY. AND SHE ALMOST KEELED OVER IN AWE LOOOOOOOOOOOL IT WAS SO FUNNY TO WATCH XDDDDDD
12) AND I HAD EYE CONTACT WITH THE BASSIST! Although he’s not as cool as the guitarist beside him, whom I was trying to get his attention (he was the closest to me) but he was too busy jamming up his guitar with eyes half-shut and his tongue sticking out LOL XDDDDDDDDD
13) During a break between performances, it was rather quiet because Daughtry had gone off stage to change equipments, and there was a woman beside me who screamed, “I LOVE YOU, CHRIS!!!!!” and just then Chris came out and said into the mike, “I love you too” with that AMAZING SMILE OMG. Then what’s SO HILARIOUS is that a guy on my other side screamed to him, “I LOVE YOU CHRIS!!!!!”. LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO everyone was so amused XD
14) I think Daughtry already knew they were going to do an encore… because they went off the stage but no one came to pack up the equipment. And the concertgoers started chanting “WE WANT MORE! WE WANT MORE!” for like 2 minutes, and then everyone SCREAAAAAAAAAAAAMED when Daughtry finally came out. Chris THREW HIS SHIRT! TO THE CROWD 7 FEET AWAY FROM ME T_T And then he started spraying water from the bottles at the crowd (the girls were by now screaming so much it’s deafening), and I SO SCREAAAAAAAMED WHEN HE CAME TO MY SIDE OF THE CROWD AND SPRAYED WATER! AT US! I WAS SHOWERED WITH CHRIS DAUGHTRY’S WATER XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD Was hoping to catch the bottle he flund but some dude caught it T_T
15) CHRIS THREW HIS STRUMMING PIECE INTO THE BUSH BEHIND ME. My friends and I were sooooo tempted to dive in and catch it. YES, THE DESPERATION.
Overall? I went home thinking IT WAS THE BEST NIGHT EBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR~ Such an awesome concert to go to for my first time, too – it’s really cool to tell people my first concert is a Daughtry concert which totally ROCKED. <3
