NYYAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!! *dies*

I DIDN’T KNOW THE LOCAL MUSIC SHOP IS SELLING ARASHI CONCERT DVDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O :O :O WHAT A SPECTACULARLY RECORD-BREAKING DISCOVERY! AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

*everyone goes deaf by tashiichaan’s piercing fangirl scream*

 How’s It Going? Concert

Okay, it was totally random. My dad was stopping by the music shop to get an album, and while idly browsing the Japanese CD section (it’s a sad sad teeny weeny section…), THERE IT WAS. “ARASHI – HOW’S IT GOING? CONCERT ‘03 DVD!”

Me: [upon discovery] OHMIGOD OHMIGOD IT’S ARASHIIIIIIIIIIIIII!
Bro: What? Where?
Me: [brandishes DVD into his face] LOOK IT’S AN ARASHI DVD! THEIR CONCERT! OHMIGOD HOW COULD I NEVER REALISE ARASHI STUFF EXISTS IN MALAYSIA?!
Bro: 2003 concert? And for RM69? Now isn’t that robbery for such old stuff D:<
[Dad pops up behind us]
Dad: Okay I’ve got my album, let’s go!
Me: Butbutbutbutbut I wasn’t done looking through the CDs!
Dad: …You’re not buying anything.
Me: I just found this concert DVD of my fave Japanese band which I never knew was sold here! PLEAAAAAAAAASE?
Mom: I think in a few months you’d probably get tired of them. Your obsession goes with the wind =_=

BTW: The actual price for the DVD is sold at US$47.49 on YesAsia, but at that music shop it’s sold at less that half-price! :O Buuuut… it’s old. T_T

Mom’s Sukiyaki~

As I’ve mentioned in my Japanese Food post, my mom cooks the most amazing sukiyaki! <3 And yay! She cooked just that for dinner a few days ago! Yumyumyumyumyum I melted in happiness. Sukiyaki happiness + Arashi happiness = HEAVEN. xD

I just couldn’t resist taking piccies of the mouth-watering dish and the process of making it. Drool all you want ->

Ingredients for the sukiyaki
Ingredients that my mom used for the sukiyaki. My mom adds salmon because, well, beef just isn’t enough to feed us hungry wolves :3

Sukiyaki stock
The sukiyaki stock. See that mysterious bag of sukiyaki stock in there?

Dinner table was all set!
While waiting for the food, we set up the dining table! Only 5 sets are prepared because 1) My sis’s boyfriend was pretty eager on trying the famous sukiyaki, and 2) My parents were having their own special sukiyaki dish and separately. The young ‘uns were left to chaos D:<

Tsuyu and Mirin
Tsuyu (left and right bottle) and mirin (middle bottle)! My mom thought tsuyu was actually shoyu (she didn’t know the difference) and bought 2 different tsuyu – for a dip, and for noodles. Next time my mom’s going out to shop for Japanese sauces/ingredients, she’s gonna drag me along to read the Japanese words for her, loool.

Fish and miso stock
Fish stock and miso stock! (Not really related to sukiyaki, but carry on…)

and finally, the sukiyaki was ready!

Sukiyaki!
Yummylicious, eh? Instead of dipping the raw food into raw eggs before cooking them, my mom throws in eggs separately to be cooked. It still tastes good xD

Now I’ve convinced my mom to try her hand at making sushi, which she hadn’t made in yeaaars xD
