These (rather interesting) facts are extracted from Duet magazine, July ‘04 issue. It’s oooold, I know! =_= But before you whine about lack of recent news, #1: I haven’t come across this vital piece of info that’d be inserted into my Arashi Stalking Mission file, #2: it’s important that I share any stalking materials with Arashi-perving fangirls so we could kidnap Arashi, and #3: wouldn’t it be fascinating to find out the details of the VERY room they sleep in…? *perverted grin forms*

AIBA’S ROOM
Aiba-chan’s home is located right behind China House Keikarou Chinese restaurant in Chiba (his hometown). The restaurant is also the Aiba family’s business. If Aiba didn’t become an aidoru right now, he would have been the heir to the restaurant instead.
Aiba-chan has a standard twin-sized bed, located right next to the window. When he sleeps, he faces a closet filled with his family’s clothes and a bunch of huge cargo boxes stacked on top of one another, which also belonged to his family’s. Across from his bed is the entrance and another closet where his family’s clothes are.
Behind his bed is a shelf filled with useless junk and some useful junk as well (such as car keys, house keys, wallet, etc.). On the same wall is another closet where his clothes are stored. He also has a loose rack in front of his cabinet where some of his clothes are hung there. Aiba-chan said that it’s easy to get access to his clothes on the loose rack outside of his closet. He has a heated carpet rug at the walkway between his bed and the door.
Whenever he’s out of town (for concerts and other work-related stuff), his family uses his room as storage. That’s mean, Aiba-chan no okaa-san to otou-san! >:( But Aiba said that his family will clean his room in exchange for him giving them permission to store their junk while he’s away. (but cleaning really does no difference to the fact that Aiba’s sleeping in a store room…)
When he goes to sleep, he wears t-shirt and shorts. He says he feels very comfortable sleeping and waking up in the morning. (tashiichaan: *starts thinking pervy…*)
MATSUMOTO’S ROOM
Matsujun lives in the Ikebukuro district of Tokyo – although his family’s well-off. Ikebukuro happens to be one of the famed “ghetto” areas of Tokyo.
Like Aiba, he has a standard twin-sized bed. When he lies down, he faces the entrance, the window and a shelf filled with his vast collection of CDs and DVDs (both Japanese and Western). Adjacent to that wall (right across from his bed) are 2 closets that apparently for some mysterious reason, Jun himself can’t even open. His clothes are all over the place, since he can’t open his own closet. BUT JUN-KUN YOU’D DROWN IN YOUR CLOTHES! D:<
Between the closets is a small bookshelf (the top shelf is where he stores his huge collection of Harry Potter books [Nyaaaaaahhh!!!!!] and paraphernalia) and a small desk next to it. There are also clothes on the floor right next to the left closet, just right next to his desk. At the end of his bed are clothes that he already wore, ready to go to the washers. Jun-kun, surprisingly, stated that he likes his room this way – easy access to everything especially his clothes. BUT JUN-KUN YOU’D STILL DROWN IN YOUR CLOTHES! D:<
He wears t-shirt and black boxer shorts when he goes to sleep. He loves to go to sleep but hates waking up in the morning. Soooo like me! The sleeping part, I mean >_>
NINOMIYA’S ROOM
Sho-kun once said that he loves hanging out with Nino and Ohno, not only because they’re fun to hang out with, but because of their rather odd, unusual personalities and tastes that somehow fascinates him. (Duh, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ohmiya shares a room… *thinks pervy* xD) Anyway, Nino’s bedroom is probably the biggest, widest room compared to the other 4 Arashi members and it’s very clean and organized as well.
YAY A NEAT FREAK LIKE MEEEEEE!
There is one little problem, though. Nino prefers the house’s living room than his own bedroom and has no plans of going back to his bedroom again. Currently his mom sleeps in his bedroom. o_O
Nino lives in one of the “ghetto” areas of Tokyo (not sure which district though), and like the typical “ghetto” houses, they are pretty small. Regardless of his male aidoru status, he still lives in that same house with his family. He said that he prefers the “ghetto” than living in a luxurious area – it would help him “hide from crazy fans” if he stays in that same area that he grew up. Love that logic xD
Since Nino sleeps in the living room, he has a tatami sleeping mat instead. Sometimes he would sleep on the couch but he prefers sleeping right on the floor. He moves the living room table near the couch so that he can have room to sleep. He faces the TV set and you would usually find a notebook where he’s writing his first novel on the coffee table. Other than that, he faces the sofa, has a small shelf filled with some books and household displays.
Nino has his clothes in the closet in his actual bedroom, except for some weird reason like Jun, he can’t even open his own closet. Then, er, Nino-chan… HOW D’YOU GET DRESSED?! :O
Nino wears a white, long-sleeved shirt and striped, black sweatpants when he goes to sleep. To him, sleeping is good but waking up in the morning sucks.
OHNO’S ROOM
According to the other 4 Arashi members, the only bedroom that they’ve never been in to is their leader’s room. In fact, Ohno wouldn’t even invite them in to his house nor would he let them in when they come for a visit.He warned them that his house might scare them and reportedly told the guys that his room was painted red all over like blood splatters here and there.
Riiiiight.
Of course, the others didn’t buy it and it wasn’t until now that they finally saw what his bedroom looked like.
Ohno’s bedroom wins the “Cleanest Bedroom Award” among the 5. And it’s all due to his loving mommy, who just couldn’t help but spoil her one and only son by doing the chores for him, buying his clothes and accessories and of course, cleaning his bedroom. You’re such a mama’s boy, Satoshi-chan! :O
When he lies down on his bed, he faces the window. The entrance is slightly behind his bed to the left. Next to the door is his cabinet filled with clothes. Right between the cabinet and his bed are folded clothes that he wore already, ready to go to the cleaners.
Across from his bed is a white table with his laptop on top. After the table is a huge shelf, where he stores his books, videos, CD’s, art supplies and other useful and useless junk and he also has his own TV set.
On top of his clothes cabinet is a mini-stereo and a shelf of his recorded MD’s. The walls are also covered with wallpaper which was recently decorated by his mom. Wait, his mom is also artistic? :O His window also has “homemade” curtains which he painted himself with fabric watercolor.
Ohno sleeps in a pair of red pyjamas. He’s the only one in the group who actually wears pyjamas when he sleeps. Why red? ;D
Ohno said that sleeping on his bed feels good. Waking up early is also really good. For some reason, he said, he’s able to wake up early in the morning even without an alarm clock. Ohmigod soooooo like me! ^_^v
SAKURAI’S ROOM
Sho’s bedroom is the second cleanest next to Ohno’s bedroom. His room is probably the roomiest too since he has a lot of stuff in there. His bed is located on the same wall as the entrance so when he lies down, he can see the door on his side.
Across from his bed is a built-in wall closet. The small space between his bed and the door are bags that he uses and books. In the built-in wall closet, he stores his videos from his previous works (dramas, movies, variety shows etc.) but what occupies the most in that closet are more books. A bookworm like me? I’m starting to like you more, Sho-kun :O
Next to that built-in wall closet is another closet – a walk-in closet where his clothes are neatly kept. Adjacent wall to that closet is a huge shelf. At the corner of that wall is a huge subwoofer speaker. Next to it is a smaller speaker. On top of that shelf is his mini-stereo and a TV.
When he’s away (for concerts, drama shootings etc.), he lets his siblings sleep in his room.
And on the top shelf are 4 jars – each jar contains a wisdom tooth that was pulled by the dentist when he was in his. Whaaat? Adjacent to that wall is the window with wooden blinds and another shelf, where he stores random stuffs such as his wallet, keys, cellphone, CD/MD players, medicine, etc. On the floor next to his bed is a garbage can and an alarm clock.
Inside the shelf are his turntables (he also does part-time DJ-ing, mixing records on the turntables etc.), his laptop and four more shelves and yes, they’re also filled with books. Next to that shelf is a built-in wall shelf, where he stores (again) more of his books.
Sho sleeps with a concert t-shirt that he gets whenever he goes to an R&B/hip-hop concert and a pair of boxer shorts. He loves to sleep in his own bed but waking up in the morning sucks for him.
If anyone has watched the Iza Now! backstage clips on YouTube, I think you’d agree on Arashi boys not being morning people. xD
